Informations about Thassos

If you are looking for peace and quiet, you will find several idyllic spots between Skala Prinos and Skala Rachoni (around 10 minutes by car). The olive groves in this stretch extend right down to the beach and provide ample shade. Generally, there isn’t much going on and things are quite low-key even during peak season. So there is nothing to prevent you from having a great day – either with your entire family or in solitude with a good book. Numerous sandy beaches that cater to tourists are located east of Limenas in the Golden Beach bay, Paradise Beach in Kinira and around Potos and Limenaria. The west coast of the island is characterised by pebble beaches and sheltered bays.

Pristine trails or marked hiking routes – Kazaviti offers every visitor countless opportunities to discover its natural beauty. Let the scent of flowers and shrubs, the buzzing of bees and the ringing of goat bells captivate you. And don't forget to take a break in the mountains on the unspoiled plateaus and enjoy a stunning view of the sea.

Thassos offers a wide range of regional delicacies. At the weekly market, islanders and visitors alike can buy olive oil, olives, honey, cheese and plenty more from local farmers. Make sure to try all delicacies from the local produce at your leisure. It will be worth your while.

When restoring the old stone houses, our main priority was to reuse the original stones and timber. Regional craftsmen have skilfully integrated the local materials and also processed natural insulating materials, whitewash and other ecological materials. Currently, we are planning to enlarge our kitchen garden so that our guests can also enjoy home-grown fruit and vegetables in the future. Apart from that, our next project is also going to be the commissioning of a biological wastewater treatment plant.
